2006 Tech Day in Kentucky

Governor Fletcher and Jarad FugateLeaders from across Kentucky came together on February 8, 2006 to recognize the progress of technology in the Commonwealth. 

Tech Day began with Governor Ernie Fletcher's release of the 2006 ConnectKentucky Progress Report. Additionally, the Governor announces the 2006 Governor’s Technology Awards recipients:

          • Corporation: Humana, Inc.
          • Individual: John Williams, Chairman, CSI, Inc.
          • Student: Jarad Fugate, Breathitt County High School

The afternoon continued with key stakeholders participating in roundtable discussions that examined how high-speed Internet has transformed telecom, education, healthcare and local government.

The evening concluded with a reception to honor ConnectKentucky stakeholders and legislators at the Berry Hill Mansion located at 700 Louisville Road, Frankfort, Kentucky.  

ConnectKentucky extends sincere thanks to all participants, exhibitors and award winners.  The first Tech Day in Kentucky proved an amazing success.
