Ernie Wood

As ConnectKentucky’s Project Management Director, Ernie is responsible for the management all eCommunity Strategies projects, including the Kentucky Health Information Partnership (KHIP), a project of the Kentucky eHealth Corporation (KeHC). Duties include the management and delivery of project variables through extensive coordination with several sets of governing bodies and stakeholders. Additionally, Ernie assists in developing services and products for eCS, including the due diligence for vendor services; assists with client sales presentations; and, delivery of technology solution services and Project Management functions.
Prior to joining ConnectKentucky, Ernie served as Senior Consultant and Program Manager for IBM Global Services. He managed lead architects, test managers and project managers for multi-million dollar initiatives in the securities, insurance and Customer Relationship Management (CRM) industries. His expertise includes building project teams to design, develop, train and implement mobile computing solutions. Prior to joining IBM Global Services, Ernie incorporated EPW Consulting and served as a Project Manager with SCB Technologies in Memphis for the Federal Department of Labor. Ernie held a similar post at AETEA Information Technology Consulting Inc in Washington, DC where he performed as Project Manager for Fannie Mae (FNMA) Corporate. Additionally, he previously held the position of Director of Information Technology for K.U. Energy Corporation in Lexington, managing data center operations, application systems’ maintenance and development, network, security, and data base administration as well as budget and personnel administrative responsibilities.
